Trump to change name of US Department of Defense to Department of War

US President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order to officially change the name of the country’s Department of Defense to the “Department of War.”
The US Department of War was renamed the “Department of Defense” in 1949 after World War II, but now, in Donald Trump’s second term as president, he wants to officially change the name of the US Department of Defense back to the “Department of War.”
Trump says he made this decision because the department’s mission is not only defense, but also “active warfare to protect America’s national interests.”
It should be noted that the implementation of Trump’s executive order requires congressional approval, and the opposition of Democrats makes it clear that this issue will become a very controversial issue in Washington.
