Turkish officials have said that 20 of their soldiers have been killed in a cargo plane crash near the border between the country and Georgia (Azerbaijan).
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense said late yesterday that a C-130 military cargo plane had crashed near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border.
The ministry added that the plane was flying from the Republic of Azerbaijan to Turkey and crashed on the border, and an investigation is underway.
The Foreign Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan have expressed their condolences to the government and people of Turkey.
