Muttaqi, Lavrov hold bilateral talks

The Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan was held today. On the sidelines of this meeting, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi held bilateral talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
Muttaqi and Lavrov discussed Afghanistan’s security, stability and regional cooperation on Tuesday.
The Russian official welcomed the stability in Afghanistan and the fight against terrorism and narcotics.
Muttaqi thanked Russia for recognizing the current Afghan government, calling it a historic step.
It should be noted that Muttaqi also traveled to Russia yesterday to attend this meeting and participated in this meeting as an official member.
The Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan was held today with the participation of Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
