The Kandahar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has said that 274,725 tons of pomegranates will be harvested from the province this year.
Mohammad Hanif Haqmal, spokesman for the Kandahar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, said on Saturday, October 4, that 274,725 tons of pomegranates will be harvested from 15,000 hectares of land in the province this year.
He added that pomegranate gardens have been established on 15,000 hectares of land in Kandahar this year, from which 274,725 tons of harvest will be harvested.
According to Hanif, the harvest is higher and of higher quality than last year, and the harvest will be collected from Arghandab, Zhari, Shawalikot, Dand, Panjwai, Daman, Arghistan and Maiwand districts.
It is worth noting that this year, pomegranate exports will be to India, Pakistan, Dubai, the United States, and a number of other European countries.
