US President Donald Trump said in an interview with a local media outlet that the security situation in Afghanistan is better than that of the US city of Chicago.
Trump said today about the widespread insecurity in Chicago: “Every week, dozens of people are robbed and shot in this city, while Afghanistan is not like that.”
Trump’s comments came after Charlie Kirk, a close Trump supporter, was shot and killed during a speech the previous day. And the security situation in the United States has deteriorated recently.
Regarding the US president’s admission, political analysts said that progress in Afghanistan has now been acknowledged and praised by the US president.
