American media reported that the incident took place on Friday at a shopping center in the city of San Jose, citing California police.
According to information provided by the Associated Press, two people were injured in the incident and both were taken to the hospital due to the shooting.
The identity of the attacker has not yet been revealed and the police of the shopping center have evacuated and cleaned the center to ensure that there is no threat to public safety.
