The European Union announced yesterday that it will support the provision of health services in Afghanistan to ensure that Afghan women, girls and mothers have access to basic health services.

The EU wrote on its website that the education and training of women as health professionals is also included in its support programs.

In addition, the EU and UNESCO launched a program worth 4.7 million euros to provide literacy and practical skills training to 7,500 young people and adults in five provinces of Afghanistan.

The EU also added that the program will focus on training skills relevant to local needs, such as tailoring, dairy production, poultry farming and small-scale agriculture.

It is worth noting that the EU has been one of the largest donors to Afghanistan since the Islamic Emirate regained control of the country, and the EU has already contributed millions of euros to the education, nutrition and health sectors in Afghanistan.
